PMC OOPS!

Paper clay for a PMC core really stinks. I don't know what I'm doin wrong I haven't had a single success with it yet. So I'm throwin it in the trash. all my PMC peices I made with this method break and have huge pores. I do not suggest this method for a beginner. SO now what do I do with all this scrap silver?

Valuable PMC TIP!

I have been to the Milwaukee Bead and Button show and no one there that did PMC had heard or thought of using rubber polishing bits. I discovered this through trial and error. I purchased them on ebay really cheap. These bits almost eliminate the need for the polishing cloths and pickle. The rubber polishing bits get out fire scale,scuff and small scratches. I found they even work on my other precious metal items. It can leave behind a small amount of greasy residue but I just use a little jewelry cleaner and VOILA! CLEAN, fast,harmless and easy. No more scary expensive HARMFUL pickle yes there is a nontoxic pickle but it's pricey and unnecessary. I would suggest purchasing all different sizes and shapes and the do dissipate over time.

OK, so my hubby got me something I was dreaming of, a Paragon Firefly KILN!!!!! I got it for XMAS and there it was the 23rd of January and I still didn't start it. It came with all of these very intimidating manuals that I kept trying to read and didn't understand half of them. I procrastinated cuz I was just plain frightened by the thing. It was like the Xmas story "You'll shoot your eye out",only it was "You'll blow your house up!"
